Congratulations to Microsoft - they've driven me off from my 2nd favorite hobby.

Really, if the future is Win8 and Surfaces, I'm out. I am really, really out.

I like building PCs. I like fucking around with hardware inside a big square metal box, ogling new <#CAPACITY> hard drives, and video cards, and having an OS that shows it all off.

Now those options are being taken away from me, slowly but surely. Stuff on a hard drive? Are you mad? We'll keep that content and you can access it whenever* and wherever** you go. Visually appealing OS? Ha ha, the future is looking like a bastardization of Windows 3 and Amiga OS 1.2! Flat, white and stupid.

I could build a hackintosh but there's no easy way around Apple introducing x system update that nukes the whole affair, and I'm collared into buying whatever hardware "may" work with said hackintosh, so it's like buying it from Apple anyway.

I guess there really isn't any room in the world for a guy who likes computers these days.. Fuck. By the time I finish my degree nobody will use a fucking PC any more.

I dunno. Yeah, yeah #1stworldproblems and all but this turn of events just depresses the shit out of me. I hope this kills MS as a company (I know it won't; MS Office alone would sustain them for decades to come...).
