I've got a 1920x1200 17" MBP, and Lion's "traffic lights" look like a period on it. A 128x128 icon looks like a 48x48 icon on older desktops. I have to bump up the copy on most websites, and I'm near-sighted, FCOL.

People have been requesting resolution-independent UI for years. This seems like a good time to implement it.
