So it's rough justice to see the Yanks and the Sox struggle when that strategy starts to fail--they wrote checks that they cannot cash with some of these huge contracts....

But the Sox are 8-2 over the last 10. Neither them nor the Yankees are finished.

With the new rules, it's entirely possible that a single Division could have 3 teams in the postseason. In fact, that's probably going to happen in the AL.

The AL Central most likely won't have a Wild Card team; the West might, but the East could easily have two.
