The .exe, could that be the MSI package with all of the switches set?.....

It's pretty easy.
Create a text file and name it autorun.inf
Put this inside it:
[autorun]
open=exename.exe
label=A Name
icon=exename.exe,0
Just replace everything after the = with whatever your installer name is. You can probably get by with just the open= line. I'm pretty sure the other two just make for a better user experience if you're producing something.
Drop that in the root of your CD.
