Google "drag soldering" for a (possibly long-term unreliable, but) quick and dirty way to do all those teeny tiny surface mount pins.
I've recovered quite a few flash drives by going in and refreshing all the solder, but I never rely on them after that. I don't even re-assemble. They get chucked in the bin after the data is off.
