I don't mod down Phred down every time he goes off on a tangent about Fish in an unrelated thread, so you can just leave that one at the door, so no, there's really no double standard.
I modded it down because it's pointless forum drama. You reopened it, and now you get to bitch about a conspiracy against Phred. Congrats.
As far as "consistency" goes, I've noticed you tend to exercise your mod privileges when they only involve a certain person or if it involves your certain viewpoint. So much for consistency and being "uncommonly egalitarian".
