You should take head that your culture and mind set are drastically different than that in Africa. The AIDs issue is multifacted, from religious and tribal reasons, to children being born with AIDs, to rape and drug use.
Me and Fish were discussing Fela Kuti recently. Incredibly intelligent man, very forward thinking culturally and politically. He died of AIDs and had dozens of wives. There's no telling how many/who he passed it on to, or if he even knew he had it. It's not just a question ignorance.
