I tended to think my computer was kinda loud. I mean I'd done a lot to make it silent, but I hadn't really gone all out, I can still hear it when I'm sitting near it.

Then one christmas I took it home and set it up next to mom's computer. My computer is over twice it's size, and generates considerably more heat, like you can feel the extra heat under the desk. However her's completely blotted out teh sound of mine, you couldn't even hear it power up.

It's not that lound, I'm just used to things nice n' quiet.
